More images from "Paws in the Park"

As promised, here are a few more favorites from Saturday's "Paws in the Park" event. The festivities, hosted by LBL Animal Rescue, were held in efforts to raise funds to build a dog park in Murray.

Paws in the Park - Favorite Image of the Day!

Lost but Loved Animal Rescue hosted a "Paws in the Park" event today to raise funds for a dog park in Murray. We were asked to come by and take some pet photos for the event and were glad to accept! While we saw plenty of good looking pooches through out the day, this little pup wins the "Photographer's Favorite" designation. Really..... HOW CUTE!!! Be sure to check back for more images from today's event.

Can't we all just get along?

I couldn't resist! Here's TC, Ephraim and Bleeker - one more from our HSCC Pet Portrait Event. Aren't they cute, really? lol
Disclaimer: No animals were harmed during the making of this image!

A little something, umm...different!

Meet Brighton, Ephraim, and Bleeker. These three little guys came out to our Pet Portrait Event this weekend to have their portrait made, too! I'll have to admit, this was a first. :-)

HSCC Portrait Winner

The winner of our drawing from this weekend's Humane Society of Calloway County Pet Portrait Event is Krissy Zirbel, Sadie's mom! Krissy will receive a beautifully framed 11x14 portrait from Sadie's photo session (framing provided by The Frame Village of Murray).

Sadie's not only a beautiful girl, she's also a pet therapy dog. She's an all around winner and such a pleasure to photograph. Thanks to everyone who came out this weekend to support our Humane Society. Congratulations Sadie!!!

CSP's Spring Baby Contest Winner

Ok, the votes are in and the winner of our very first baby contest is Leyton! The competition was stiff and I'm glad I didn't have to choose! Congratulations Mr. Dimples!!!

Gone to the dogs...

Our Pet Portrait Event for the Humane Society of Calloway County began today. It's tough work, but oh so worth it. We're just thrilled with the terrific images we were able to capture! Here's a small sampling from today's sessions.

Denisha & Trevor

This past Sunday I had the pleasure of meeting Denisha and Trevor for an Engagement session. What a cute couple they are and lots of fun, too! Here are a few favorite images of the future Mr. and Mrs. Webb. (Click on an image to see a larger view)

Pocket

I pass by the Kingins place twice a day and often slow down to admire the horses. I met Mrs. Kingins this past weekend, and she was kind enough to introduce me to Pocket and her doting Mama. This little girl was given her name when she was born, as Mr. Kingins said she was small enough to fit inside your pocket!

Spring Baby Contest - Cast your vote!

It's time to vote for your favorite little guy in Cypress Springs Photography's Spring Baby Contest! I don't know where the little girls were this Spring, but just take a look at the handsome fellows who've entered our contest. I'm glad YOU are choosing the winner!!!

Here's how it works: Just send an email to contest@cypressspringsphotography.com Put "I vote for (your guy's name)" in the subject line, enter YOUR NAME inside the email and click Send! Pretty easy! To keep things fair, votes are limited to one vote per person per day (duplicate votes will be deleted). We will accept votes until midnight on the last day of Spring, June 20th. The winner will be announced on June 21st, the first day of Summer.

The winning family will receive their choice of a private location session or a $50 print credit towards their next sitting! A perfect gift for their next milestone photo session!

Here's adorable little "Cowboy" Brooks, Leyton with the cutest dimples anywhere around, and Ellis aka "Little Mr. Universe". Let the voting begin!!!

CSP Spring Baby Contest

We had initially planned on beginning the voting for the CSP Spring Baby Contest last Friday. But, due to unforseen circumstances, we've had to postpone it just a few days. I plan on having the little guys' pictures up by Wednesday of this week (no girls this time go round???). Please check back and remember to vote for your favorite little man!

Humane Society of Calloway County Pet Portrait Event!

Yes, it's time to schedule those appointments!!! CSP will be holding another Pet Portrait Event on June 20th & 21st at the Library Annex in Murray, KY to benefit the Humane Society of Calloway County. Bring your favorite furry friends to have their portrait made! We're excited, this event promises to be our best yet!

Here's the scoop (this is awesome!): For a $25 donation to the HSCC, have your pet's portrait made and receive 1 (one) complimentary 5x7 from your photo session. You'll also receive a temporary online photo album of your shoot to show all of your friends and order additional prints if you choose. Oh but there's more!!! Everyone who makes the $25 donation will also be entered into a drawing for a mounted 11x14 portrait from your photo session! And...this is SO cool!...the winning portrait will be beautifully matted and framed by The Frame Village in Murray ($55 value). That's a total gift of $90 value! Remember, your donation is tax deductible as well.

Appointments are limited - first come, first served - call the HSCC office today at (270)759-1884 and secure your time slot! Come join the fun, help raise money for our Humane Society, AND get beautiful portraits made of your best friend!

I know some of you have been anxiously awaiting news of our next Pet Portrait Event. Well, it's that time again! Plans are in the final stages for our next event to be held on June 20/21st. This event will benefit the Humane Society of Calloway County. We've got the place (Murray), the location (Library Annex), and the dates (above). Within the next couple of days we will have our shooting schedule complete and will be taking session reservations. Session times will fill up quickly, so check back here for final details!

Mr. Universe

At least that's what we're gonna call him here. ;-) This adorable guy was in recently for a session. He's so cute, I just had to share! You know his mama is proud!!!

Snake season has arrived folks!

I'm sitting in my comfy chair, destressing after work today, when out the window I notice something odd about a tree in the yard. I had to take a few shots of this big boy (ughhhhh!). Though, when I realized at first that I couldn't see both ends of him.........I went back inside for a longer lens!!!!!

Prom Night

Jason and Amanda - Prom 2008. Striking couple aren't they? In this instance, I'm not just the photographer, I'm also Mom, so I claim bragging rights here. Aren't my kids gorgeous!!!

Classy Pooches

These girls travelled as far away as St. Louis for a private photo session yesterday. Now tell me, aren't they just absolutely "mahhhvelous"???

Just Bee-cause!

I'm a HUGE fan of Mother Nature! I often spend time exploring the outdoors with camera in hand and enjoying the simplest of things. Last Saturday, I was entertained for more than an hour by a bumble bee who's taken up residence at my back door. This is my favorite shot from our impromtu session. It is also partial inspiration for my up-coming art series: "The Backside of Life!"
